The Delivery Team should prepare a test strategy that outlines the testing approach for the maintenance change request. The Maintenance Change Request Test Strategy must define:

  • Types of testing
  • Test environments
  • Test scenarios
  • Test cases (covering unit, integration and system testing as applicable)
  • Testing deliverables
  • Test data preparation for various test scenarios and procedures.

Delivery Team must create and baseline this document at the engagement level. This task may not be applicable to bug fixing maintenance change requests.
